Laura Kane brings over two decades of experience in the legal field to her role at Hilger Hammond. Beginning her career as a paralegal, Laura spent 18 years assisting on complex matters in litigation and corporate practice—first at a national law firm, then in-house and in state government. This foundation gives her a pragmatic, client‑focused perspective: she listens carefully, works diligently, and finds creative, cost‑effective solutions.
Since earning her J.D., Laura has concentrated her practice on corporate matters including organization formation and advice, transactions, real estate matters, and civil litigation matters. She is equally committed to helping clients avoid protracted disputes through early case assessment and strategic dispute resolution. Laura is particularly passionate about defensible e‑discovery practices, effective oral advocacy, and innovative trial techniques.
In her free time, Laura enjoys playing piano, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her husband and 2 kids. She also enjoys needlepoint and hopes to finish the project she started for her daughter before she was born – before she turns 18!
“There is nothing more rewarding than wholeheartedly committing to a client’s cause and helping them resolve complex or stressful problems.”
